بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
‘They said, “Are you indeed Joseph?” He said “I am Joseph, and this is my brother. Allah has certainly favored us. Indeed, he who fears Allah and is patient, then indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good.”’
(Surah Yusuf 12:90)
From the lowest of the low to the highest of the high, this ayah reminds us of what exactly Yusuf (as) did to earn a high station neither did he show pride but attributed the good only to Allah (swt), that’s how certain he was of his Lord. Because of his Taqwa and Sabr, Allah relieved him of all of his troubles and took him to a state where he was truly content.
Allah (swt) changes the fortunes of people. This also reminds us of how we can never give up on Our Lord. No matter how desperate the situation is, we should always have great hope in Allah. The good deeds that a believer can do comes from the remembrance of Allah. The only deeds that Allah will accept are those that are done sincerely for Him, not just the effort that we make to perform the deed but also the effort that we make to remember Allah, The Greatest. Alhamdulillah.
