بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
‘And have you seen the water that you drink?
Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down?
If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful?’(Surah Al-Waqiah 56:68-70)
Allah provides us with the basic means of survival; the only thing He asks in return is our gratitude to Him. By pronouncing the name of Allah we have expressed our satisfaction, gratitude and recognised that only Allah is worthy of our praise:
‘All Praise be to Allah who has satisfied our needs and quenched our thirst. Your favour cannot be compensated or denied.’
These small acts could effortlessly benefit us in the long run. May Allah be pleased with us, Ameen.
